Frequently Asked Questions Should I add fertilizers? No. Never add fertilizers, enhancements, additives or other ingredients to your mix. We have taken extra care to make your soil the best that it can be, right out of the package. If you add anything you will run the risk of ruining your plant. Do I water before I plant? No. Plant before you water. Our mix contains a wetting agent that allows you to plant in the dry mix and add water afterwards. Water will flow evenly throughout the container, every time you water. How long does the fertilizers last? Our mix is designed for the full life cycle of your plant which is 90 days. Can I extend the life of my soil? If you wish to extend the growing cycle, you may purchase our booster and extend your crop another 90 days per treatment. What is in it? Can I reuse the soil? No, not in a container. You can place used soil on gardens, lawns, flowers and shrubs as a top dressing. Although the nutrients are not gone from the mix, we recommend not replanting in the same container to avoid root lock and other potential problems. How often do I water? This will depend on temperature, humidity, and ventilation. Wait until the container begins to “lighten up” before watering again. Roots need air and can be drowned if over watered.
