Sunny Girl is now offering a Do-It-Yourself mix for outdoor and bulk growers. This is an easy way to create the plushest earth in your own garden. This is our Just Plant and Water product exclusively designed for the outdoor and bulk garden. As an indoor medium: For indoor production growers, simply mix the bales with the packaged fertilizers and plant. Remember to plant then water unless you are planting fine seeds such as lettuce. Fill your containers half full of bottom mix then fill the rest with top mix. BULK MIXING INSTRUCTIONS CLICK HERE As an outdoor soil amendment: The plan is simple. Dig your hole, mix the existing dirt 50/50, plant and grow. Nothing to add except water for the rest of the season. The next year all you have to do is till the top and add our fertilizers. Your garden will produce year after year once you have conditioned your soil with our mix. We recommend and sell 3.8 compressed bails with fertilizers. Each bail is enough to amend a 3’ x 3’ hole and contains 7.2 cu ft of amendment. This is enough to add as an amendment along with your existing soil at about a 50 percent ratio. We also add additional nutrients due to the nature of using the product outdoors. This will enhance your soil for years and allow the adjoining soils to also be enhanced. For following years you should only have to till the top of the holes and add nutrients. You will not have to re-dig them and it (including the surrounding soil) will get better every year. For outdoor gardens we recommend that you mix top and bottom together. Take this mixture and add 2 inches to the top of your garden area. Roto till the mixture into the soil well. Remember to plant then water. The base product comes directly to us from the manufacture in Canada and Norway. All other ingredients are made locally. Delivery is available for a small fee to those along the I-5 corridor if you cannot visit our stores in Portland, Eugene and Medford.
